Activity Overview

Please meet at the Kailua Storefront to check-in 30 minutes before your tour starts. Your adventure guide will get you fitted with e-bikes and make sure you feel confident riding them before setting off. Once everyone is ready, your expert guide will lead you and your group through the charming streets of Kailua and along the Marsh Trail to an ancient Hawaiian cultural site where you will participate in a meaningful volunteer experience. Along the way, your guide will highlight unique Hawaiian wildlife and share insights into the area’s rich cultural history.

When you arrive at the cultural site, get ready to take part in hana (work of the soul). You’ll work alongside your guide and members of the community as you help with wet tasks like weeding lo’i kalo (taro patches) or dry tasks like weeding māla (gardens) or mulching. This four-hour volunteer experience is family-friendly, with opportunities for participants of all ages to contribute. Everyone is welcome to help preserve and care for Hawaii’s beautiful land and cultural traditions.
